Entering results and understanding limits

Use decimal points. Blank means unavailable; 0 means a literal zero on your report. Do not substitute zero for “<0.1”. Malformed or inconsistent entries need checking. Results outside this tool’s supported range are kept as entered, but cannot be interpreted here.

The software limits are total/free/previous PSA up to 200 ng/mL, volume up to 300 mL, and intervals up to 240 months. They are not limits on what a real report can contain. Age supports completed years up to 120. Reported 4Kscore uses its documented 0.1–100 scale. No clinical upper cutoff has been invented for reported PHI; it is repeated without interpretation.

Calculations use unrounded numbers; only displayed calculations are rounded. A displayed number near a boundary may look equal even when the unrounded value is below or above. No measurements are combined into a risk score.

What may affect a PSA result?

Examples include finasteride or dutasteride, hormone treatment, urinary infection, urinary retention and recent prostate procedures. Your clinician or laboratory can check your circumstances. Do not stop medicines or adjust the result yourself.

Why we do not calculate or classify PHI

PHI testing depends on who the test was intended for and the laboratory methods used. We show only a score already reported by a laboratory, without a cancer probability or category. Ask your clinician or laboratory what the original report means for you.
